Where's your WPBakery from?

If it came with your theme, the theme's author holds the license. So updates arrive when they ship them, support comes from them, and you can use it free only while you keep that theme.

Not sure? A copy that came with a theme has no WPBakery license of its own to activate.

Either way, your pages are saved as WPBakery shortcodes. We rebuild them in Beaver Builder on the same WordPress site, so they keep their addresses, and any that must change get a 301 redirect. Beaver Builder, Beaver Themer and the Beaver Builder Theme are all included on our maintenance plans.

Your header lives in your theme.

WPBakery is made for the content area of your pages. Your header and footer come from your theme, and so can some elements, which WPBakery says can fail to display after a theme change. We rebuild each page by hand in Beaver Builder, header and footer included, so you edit the whole page in one editor.

Easier to leave, if you want to.

WPBakery says the most common reason its shortcodes show up where your layouts were is that it's been switched off. Switch Beaver Builder off and, per its own docs, it copies a plain HTML version of each page into the WordPress editor. It may not look the same, but you won't lose your content.

Rebuild your pages first, then remove it. Your layouts are saved as WPBakery shortcodes, so we rebuild each page in Beaver Builder before deleting the plugin.

Both build the content of your pages. WPBakery saves it as shortcodes. Beaver Builder, with Beaver Themer included in its plans, also builds your header, footer and post templates, and leaves plain HTML behind if it's ever removed.

We look at your site first and base your proposal on what the design involves, so the price is accurate. You see it before any work starts.

We don't recommend it. We switch you to the Beaver Builder Theme, and installing it is included in the migration. Beaver Builder built that theme and Beaver Themer to work together, so your header, footer and pages are all edited in Beaver Builder.

They're rebuilt with Beaver Builder modules: post grids with the Posts module, which lays posts out in columns, masonry or a list, and media grids with the Gallery module.

No, once WPBakery is gone. The license itself is a one-time purchase, and if you subscribed to Support Plus, it renews automatically until you cancel it.

No, we're an independent agency. One of our co-founders also works for Beaver Builder, so we're saying so up front. We speak for ourselves here, not for Beaver Builder.
