How to Improve Your On-page SEO and Use H Tags

How to Improve Your On-Page SEO and Use H Tags Video Transcript:

In this video I’m going to show you how to use H tags to organize your content and improve your on-page SEO. Okay so we’re continuing with our on-page SEO training and I’m going to basically explain to you how to set your H1, H2, H3, etc. these tags so basically when you go to your blog post it’s very important to structure your website where it’s easy to read. So for example, we’re going to the blog post and as you can see right here I have these little headings right here, what it does is it does a couple of things for you. Not only does it help your reader read your content because it gives these little subtitles and most people when they read stuff they like to kind of skim through the document.

They kind of go, “Oh okay I want to read what this is about.” So these subtitles are very important because it helps your readers kind of like I said browse through your content. It also helps with the way Google does for search engine optimization. So in order to do that you can basically select a word, let’s say it was this keyword here and I said just created this small one, I would just highlight this word and in here you have the ability to click on ‘PARAGRAPH’ and you can click on ‘HEADING 1’, ‘HEADING 2’, ‘HEADING 3’, etc. So basically your ‘Heading 1’ is your title. Your ‘H1’ as they like to call it, already set for your title. This right here is your title and it’s already set at H1.

So Google likes to see that you set H1, H2, and H3. So, I already know that this title is H1 setting. I want to make sure that this small sub heading is going to be H2. So I’m going to go and click ‘PARAGRAPH’ and I’m going to click ‘HEADING 2’ and as you can see it auto generates to this kind of like sub title bolded and it’s the bigger font so like I said, it helps your readers and it helps with your on-page SEO. So I’m going to go ahead and put this back the way it was. If you want to undo it you’ll just click on this ‘HEADING’ button and go back to the very top and click ‘FORMAT’. So we’re going to leave it the way it was before.

And so as you can see I have my keyword in this H2 tag, “What is Podcasting A to Z?” and then I created another H2 tag “Why I Decided to Join Podcasting A to Z”. And I do that for multiple reasons, to help my reader and to do my on-page SEO and lastly you’ll want to do it with an H3 tag. So this right here is an actual H3 tag. I’m sorry I said it was a H2 but I could set it as a H3. That would also help with my on-page search engine optimization. So that’s a quick tutorial of how to set H tags and also to really help your readers browse through your content. So in the next video I’m going to show you how to create some links to also help with your on-page SEO.

    Hello

Well, Greatly described Points. I agree with most of your points.

Recently Google become more intelligent with quality update and now, they they know, what content is all about, so they know, exactly, where to rank our article, depending on it’s quality.

So, Keyword Density is out of the window these days, Instead, we can just use LSI keywords for better ranking.

Also Meta tags like Meta description is not that important, like it was few years ago, now, Google can pick any word or phrase from article depending on users query.

But I do agree that, using Headings Tags, Image Alt Tags and internal Linking is very important.

So, Overall, having a nice URL structure, Authority Outbound Links, proper Title, can do the Job easily.

Correct me, If I am wrong?
